During

During Isolaz treatment, an applicator tip is placed against the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ How does Isolaz work?

Isolaz targets the dermatologic conditions that set the stage for acne to develop. Pimples, blackheads, and cysts form when the skin does not naturally exfoliate. Without routine sloughing, dead and damaged skin cells accumulate on the epidermis.
Here, they clog the pores that contain oil glands. Usually, debris and bacteria get trapped inside the pores by these cells.
The Isolaz system targets both the clogged pores and the bacteria within them with two specific actions:

  • Suction loosens and extracts the dead and damaged cells that blanket the skin’s surface. The gentle vacuum also pulls oil and other debris that has been trapped deep within the pores.

  • Laser light delivered during the treatment process enters the pores and destroys the bacteria that cause persistent acne. Additionally, the absorption of light can also diminish oil production. In this way, future breakouts are discouraged.

+ What Type Of Acne Does Isolaz Treat?

Isolaz has been used to treat all types of acne, including cystic acne and hormone-induced acne, pimples, blackheads, and minor bumps that never fully develop into pimples but also never fully disappear. Almost any type of blemishes or skin issues can be improved by the use of the Isolaz acne treatment.

  • Cystic acne
  • Hormone-induced acne
  • Pimples
  • Blackheads

+ Who are the best candidates for Isolaz?

Isolaz laser acne treatment has been specifically approved for the treatment of pustular and comedonal acne.
The technology of the adjustable settings on the device makes Isolaz treatment appropriate for all skin tones and types.
In many cases, Isolaz can be performed even if a patient is taking medication for acne. Accutane is the exception. Patients taking Accutane must be off this medication for six months or more before undergoing laser acne treatment.
Laser treatments are typically not performed on women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Isolaz might be right for you if you experience any these issues:

  • Frequent breakouts
  • Blackheads
  • Oily or dull skin
  • Lack of response from oral or topical medication

+ Side Effects Of Isolaz Treatment

One of the benefits of Isolaz treatment is that there are few side effects. Those that may occur, such as redness and an apparent worsening of acne, are transient.
The reason why new acne lesions may develop soon after Isolaz treatment is that they existed deep within the pores and have been brought to the surface.
This can be beneficial because, once they are at the uppermost layer of the skin, these lesions can be treated more easily.
